AC or alternating current motors are the ones that are used according to its type. There are single phase AC electric motors also called as the general purpose motors that are used in situations where a machine requires lot of power while starting it. Machines that are very difficult to start will have AC motors for that quick pick up. AC electric motors will generate the accurate amount of power that is required by the machines. It will give that initial support to the machine so that it starts with a quick power push up. This is the reason why it is called as alternating current electric motor, for its changing level of power supply.
